2026年第六届世界交通与土地利用大会(the 6th World Symposium on Transport and Land Use Research)定于2026年6月7-11日在中国北京举行,这是该大会首次在亚洲举办,由中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所(IGSNRR-CAS)和中国地理学会(GSC)共同主办。本次大会邀请了六位专家学者进行大会报告。会议论文征集时间截止至2025年11月15日,热烈欢迎相关领域学者和研究生积极参加,共同讨论交流!

Professor Karen Lucas
University of Manchester
Dr. Karen Lucas is Professor of Human Geography and Director of the Manchester Urban Institute and leads its Transport and Mobilities research group. She has 25+ years’ experience of delivering social research into practice in transport, employing a variety of mixed methods approaches to issues of mobility, accessibility, and social justice. She is also a world-leading expert on transport and social justice in the global North and South. She is currently working on developing transport poverty index for the UK Department of Transport and recently devised a new integrated methodology for the social assessment of road projects for National Highways. She previously undertook similar assessments of the A465 bypass project for the Welsh Government and of the Lower Thames Crossing project for the Department of Transport. She is director of the International Network for Transport and Accessibility in Low Income Communities (INTALInC)., which is a global network of academics, policymakers, NGOs, and frontline agencies to promote transport justice in Global South cities. She is a member of the Editorial Boards for the Journal of Transport Geography, Springer’s Transportation, and Urban Book Series.
Professor Xinyu (Jason) Cao
University of Minnesota, Twin Cities
Dr. Xinyu (Jason) Cao is a professor at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He specializes in land use and transportation interaction and planning for quality of life. Professor Cao is internationally recognized for his research on residential self-selection in the relationship between the built environment and travel behaviour. He is currently pioneering the use of machine learning in land use and transportation studies, as well as advancing satisfaction research. According to the Stanford-Elsevier Top 2% Scientists list, he is among the 25 top-cited career-long scholars in the subfield of Transportation and Logistics and Transportation. Professor Cao also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Research Today and as an associate editor for Transport Policy and Journal of Planning Education and Research. He previously served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Research Part D and Chair of International Association for China Planning (IACP). He holds degrees from the University of California, Davis and Tsinghua University.
Professor Dick Ettema
Utrecht University
Dr. Dick Ettema is professor of Urban Accessibility and Social Inclusion at the University of Utrecht. He specializes in travel behaviour analysis, accessibility and the social implications of transportation. He has played a key role in the development of activity-based modelling approaches, and made groundbreaking contributions to studying the relationship between travel behaviour, travel satisfaction and well-being. His current research interests include the measurement and application of the concept of perceived accessibility and the transition toward more sustainable forms of mobility and its implications for transport justice. Funded projects have recently started on the last topic. He is research fellow of the Knowledge Institute for Mobility Policy and co-leader of the NECTAR cluster on Social and Health Issues.
Professor Donggen Wang
Hong Kong Baptist University
Dr. Donggen Wang is currently Chair Professor at the Department of Geography and Director of the Centre for China Urban and Regional Studies, Hong Kong Baptist University. His major research interests span the built environment and travel behavior, environment and transport, travel satisfaction and subjective wellbeing, daily activity and health. He is co-Editor-in-Chief of Travel Behavior and Society and Editorial Board member of several international journals including Annals of Transport Reviews, Journal of Transport Geography and Professional Geographer. He currently holds several research grants from Hong Kong Research Grant Council (RGC) and the National Nature Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He is fellow and board member of Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies and was the Chairman of Hong Kong Geographical Association (2009-2013). His recent publications appear in several international journals including Transportation Research Part A, Transportation Research Part D, Transportation Research Part E, Cities, Journal of Transport Geography, Social Science and Medicine, Health & Place, Annals of the American Association of Geographers, etc.
Professor Mark Zuidgeest
University of Cape Town
Dr. Mark Zuidgeest is a professor and the Head of Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Cape Town. His major research interests span transport in developing countries, transport modelling, transport geography, choice modelling, public transport network design, walkability assessment, and the nexus between climate change, cities, and transport. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Transport Geography, Associate Editor of the Journal of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE), and Deputy Editor of African Transport Studies. He currently serves as the South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) Chair of Transport Planning and Engineering. He is the board director of Health Bridge Foundation of Canada and a board member of the Mercy Ships South Africa. His recent work contributes to advancing understanding of sustainable urban transport, social inclusion in mobility systems, and infrastructure planning under climate challenges, especially in Africa context.
Professor Jiaoe Wang
Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research,
Chinese Academy of Sciences
Dr. Jiaoe Wang is a full-time professor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She is also the executive deputy director of Key Laboratory of Regional Sustainable Development Modeling CAS, the director of Economic Geography and Regional Development Department at IGSNRR-CAS, and a professor in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her main research interests are transport geography and regional development, big data and urban transportation, high-speed rail, air transportation, and infrastructure development in the Belt and Road Initiative. She has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, 8 books and one atlas. Representative articles were published in PNAS, npj Urban Sustainability, Transportation Research Part A, Journal of Transport Geography, and Cities. She has led eight projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and received the Beijing Natural Science Award and the China Communication and Transportation Association Science and Technology Award. She also serves as Associate Editor of Journal of Transport Geography and several Chinese journals, and as Vice Chair of multiple Commissions of the Geographical Society of China (GSC) and the Regional Studies Association (RSA) China Division.
